The Sock Hemp is a soft and sustainable yarn made with virgin wool from Patagonia, a little hemp and biodegradable polyamid (this breaks down in 5 years into biomass and biogas and leaves no microparticles). Perfect for socks, shawls and clothing.

The dye we use has an Oeko-Tex 100 certification and is not harmful to humans, animals and/ or nature. We use acid dyes that are lightfast and leave the yarns in the dye baths until all the dye has been absorbed. The aftercare process is where we wash the yarns and make sure all the residue dye has been cleaned off. Even though we do our utmost to make sure the yarn doesn't bleed, not all dyes are made equal and some may bleed even after all this effort. So we advise to wash the finished items with cool water (30 degrees max) with similar colors, either in the machine or by hand. Dry flat.
